GASK presents the new bistro Skleník v zahradách – a regional attraction

The Gallery of the Central Bohemian Region (GASK) in Kutná Hora has enriched its gardens with a new bistro, Skleník, which brings a unique combination of regional gastronomy, culture and art in the harmonious natural environment of historical gardens. This newly opened space has quickly become an attractive destination for both locals and tourists looking for not only a culinary but also a cultural experience in the heart of the Central Bohemian Region. The grand opening on April 26, 2025, underlined the importance of the bistro as a meeting place and cultural enrichment that supports local traditions and current trends.

Skleník – a new bistro in the GASK gardens as a regional center of gastronomy and culture

Bistro Skleník was designed by the architectural studio Kodet as a modern wooden building with large glass areas that allow visitors to enjoy the surrounding nature and the view of the iconic Church of St. Barbara. With a capacity for 40 guests, divided into indoor seating and a terrace, the bistro offers a comfortable and pleasant environment during all seasons. Thanks to its sensitive integration into the historic garden, it emphasizes the connection between art, regional gastronomy and natural beauty.

Regional gastronomic experiences led by the Kutná Hora café Turistka

At the heart of the bistro is an offer based on fresh, local ingredients and traditional recipes that bring the culinary heritage of the region to life. The Kutná Hora café Turistka takes care of the selection of coffee and snacks, thereby strengthening the bistro’s connection with authentic local culture. This focus on regional gastronomy attracts lovers of quality cuisine and at the same time supports the sustainable development of local suppliers.

Bistro Skleník as part of the wider cultural scene and tourist offer of Kutná Hora

The new bistro in the GASK gardens is not only a gastronomic venue, but also a cultural center, where concerts, yoga performances and other programs supporting community life are held. The grand opening of the bistro was accompanied by the opening of the seventh year of the JARO – DESIGN – GASK design market, which attracted thousands of visitors to view exceptional design works and regional products. The bistro thus contributes to the development of tourism and cultural events in Kutná Hora.

A significant event for art, culture and regional development

At the grand opening, Councilor for Culture and Monument Preservation Václav Švenda emphasized that the Skleník bistro represents an exemplary combination of modern architecture with a historical environment and brings new quality to the range of services in the field of tourism and gastronomy in the region. Thanks to this new project, GASK continues to support art and culture, which has an impact on the development of regional attractions and attracts the wider public to explore Kutná Hora in a non-traditional light.
